Layla and Eric rented a home in the San Pablo Heights building as newlyweds. They loved the location, the newer construction award-winning building with an open-air courtyard with a waterfall and 2nd level deck with grill and seating which provides a place to chill, watch fireworks or take a peek of the San Francisco skyline. When an opportunity to buy came along they jumped at the chance to call unit 209 their home and for the past 7 years, it provided all that they needed and more. Here they welcomed their son, Eric, and have used the loft with a closet, as a second bedroom. As a family, they would often dine at Los Moles or Paradise Park Café and they loved how close this location was to both Emeryville and Berkeley to shop at Berkeley Bowl West, grab a fresh juice at Hip Hop Juice Box, or have a date night at Townhouse Restaurant that is scheduled to re-open for take-out. Having in-unit laundry and an open-air entry were meaningful features that other condos did not provide. The industrial edge of stained concrete floors and the steel railings were design features they admired and they added their own personal touches such as a fire engine red accent wall in the powder room, designer light fixtures, a silver wall in the living room, and sandblasted green glass subway tiles in the kitchen as a backsplash. With under the building parking, a WalkScore® of 92, and a spacious 1,245 square feet (approx. per public record) this roomy 2-level loft-style condo is a fitting place to call your next home.
